Phyllis Orleen Windham, 62, of Peoria, Arizona passed away Dec. 17, 2006.
Phyllis was born June 10, 1944, in Newton, TX, and had lived in the valley
since 1978. Phyllis was a loving mother, grandmother and a respected
professional. She enjoyed spending time with her grandson, her cats, church
activities, and reading. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Gary Hyla
and Todd, her grandson, Seth, and her many friends and family. A memorial
service will be held Friday, Dec. 22 at 11:00 am at Menke Funeral Home, 12420
N 103rd Avenue, Sun City, AZ.

Raymond M. Gushock

Raymond M. Gushock age 86 passed away December 18, 2006 in Phoenix Az. He was born November 28, 1920 in Wilkes Barre Pa and spent his career in the Air Force. Raymond was a veteran of World War II serving in the 12th Air Force in Italy as a combat gunner. He also served our country in Vietnam stationed at Bien Hoa. He retired after 30 years of service.
Ray was predeceased by his wife Marie of 56 years in 1999. He is survived by his 3 children
Michael Gushock and Frederick Gushock both of Phoenix and his daughter, Judy Buckley of Las Vegas. In addition Ray is survived by 3 Grandchildren, Lisa Lukens of Chandler, Patrick Gushock of Peoria, and Sean Buckley of Las Vegas in addition to 3 Great grandchildren, Cait Rose, Graham Patrick and Ava Catharine. Private services will be held December 28, 2006 will full military honors with interment will be at the National Veterans Cemetery.

Carey Leon Razee, 61, of Phoenix Arizona, passed away, December 8, 2006. He maintained a positive attitude throughout his year and a half struggle with cancer. Born and raised in Phoenix Arizona., he joined the Coast Guard in San Diego, CA, moved to Washington State, and raised his family. Mr. Razee retired in 2000 after 25 years with General Telephone and moved back to Phoenix where he worked as a sales supervisor selling spas, which became one of his passions. His other passions included collecting antiques, traveling and riding his Harley. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Razee, parents Leon and Dorothy Razee of Sun City, AZ, children, Janae Schwartz of Olympia, WA, Kevin Razee of Easton, WA, Kimberly Hanlon of Peoria, AZ, and Shelley Parrish of Glendale, AZ. Sisters Diana Tagler of Sun City, AZ, Marilyn Usher of Sun City, AZ and Georgine Downey of Scottsdale, AZ, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 15, 2006, at Community Church of Joy, 21000 N 75th Ave., Glendale, AZ 85306. Arrangements were handled by Menke Funeral Home.

Roma I. Christensen, age 76. Born Dec. 18, 1929, in Minden, NE. She was a long-time resident of Hastings, NE, before moving to Omaha, NE, in 1969. She had resided in Sun City, AZ, since 1996.
She was preceded by her parents. Survivors include husband, Larry, of Sun City; daughter, Ann, and son-in-law, Dan Murphy, of Omaha; daughter, Nancy, and son-in-law, Dennis Ruben, of Paradise Valley; grandchildren Lauren Auerbach, Molly Winters, Brian and Daniel Ruben, Sam Murphy; and step-grandson Mike Murphy.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City. Memorials may be directed to the Fredericksburg Lutheran Church of Minden, NE, or the ALS Association.

Willard E. Bill More, Sr., 85, formerly of Mechanicsville, Iowa, died December 10, 2006 in Sun City, Arizona. He is survived by his wife, Shirley More, five children; Terry More of Phoenix, AZ, Willard More, Jr., of Portland, Oregon, Scott Newland Patricia of Sunnyvale, Texas, David Newland Sonya of Litchfield, AZ, Karen Davidson Peter of Huntington Beach, CA, brother-in-law Robert Kreutner Sharon, of Shellsburg, IA, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew. Bill was born August 3, 1921 in Blue Earth, MN to Mildred and Floyd More. He married Shirley Kreutner Newland on December 29, 1973 in Troy Mills, Iowa. Bill was a veteran of WWII, where he received a Purple Heart for heroism in a conflict at Mostaganem, Algeria, in 1943. He was also a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 after 22 years. In 1983, after 17 years, Bill retired from the Federal Government

Leon Neal Anthony died Saturday, December 9, at his Sun City home with his wife and two children by his side after a valiant struggle with cancer. He was 84. Born in Wilber, Nebraska, June 1, 1922, Mr. Anthony was one of nine children. He attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. In 1946, he moved to Illinois where he met and married Lee Castiglione in 1948. Mr. Anthony worked for 31 years as an engineer for the U.S. Naval Ordinance Plant in Forest Park, Illinois and later in Pomona, California retiring from government service in 1979 when he and his wife moved to Phoenix. Between 1979 and 1982 he worked for Sperry Flight Systems. Mr. Anthony was recognized as a Professional Engineer by the State of California. He was a member of the Sun City Sheriff
