Marian M. Bartosky of Sun City, AZ, passed away July 25, 2007, she was 67 years old. Marian was born in Philadelphia, PA to Edwin and Marian Bright. She moved to Arizona from New Jersey in 2002 and worked as a legal secretary for Betz Labs. Marian loved to serve her church at the welcome center helping people. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joe Bartosky, sons and daughters-in-law David and Rhonda Bartosky, Eric and Sam Bartosky both of Anthem AZ, Greg Bartosky of Mt. Laurel, NJ, grandson, Noah Bartosky, sister Anna Hollingsworth of Hatboro, PA, and 5 nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 13, 2007 at Grace Bible Church, 1280 N. 99th Ave., Sun City, AZ. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718

Laurel E. Dennison, 74, of Phoenix passed away July 20, 2007. Born in Dolores, CO, Laurel resided in Arizona for 40 years. She is survived by her son Dan Vicki Dennison; daughters Karen Wes Cook & Kelly Bridges. Brother Harvey Malone. Sisters, Edith Stevenson, Caroline Goza, Marilyn Dennison, and Sandy Rogers; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 3:PM today at Menke Funeral Home Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Donations to Hospice of the Valley.

Captain Harold "Harry" J. Gorman has joined his family and friends in Heaven on July 10, 2007. Harold James Gorman was born on Oct. 3, 1924 in St. James, MO to Orville and Gertrude Gorman. He had one older sister, Aileen Wallach. All had passed before him. He is survived by his wife Freida, children Rick Jan Gorman, Brad Betsy Gorman, Linda Terry Streeter, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Preceeded in death by son, Herbie Smith in 2004. Harold went by the name of "Harry" since the age of 9 yrs. old. His life in Uniform began in 1940 when he joined the C.C.C. In March 1942, he joined the Navy at the age of 17. He was trained as a submariner and saw action in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He earned four battle stars for Gila, Licita, Anzio, Salermo and Palermo, Italy. In May 1944, his ship was torpedoed by a German Submarine. Out of a crew of 60, he and 12 crewmembers were the only survivors. Harry had a distinguished Military Career spanning from WWII to the Vietnam War, finally retiring in 1966. What makes Harry’s military career so unique is that he served in the Navy – WWII, Army- Korea, Air Force – Viet Nam. Harry continued to wear the Uniform by joining the Sheriff’s Dept. of La Plata County, Durango, CO in 1972. He loved working in Law Enforcement. He took every training course available and rose through the ranks to become Captain at the time of his retirement in 1986. He was considered a fingerprinting expert trained by the F.B.I. Harry’s final years of retirement were spent in Sun City, AZ. He took up the game of golf and enjoyed playing with the guys and his sons every chance he got. He traveled to every State in the U.S. and to 133 countries between his careers in the military and law enforcement and travels abroad with his beloved wife of 37 years, Frieda. Harry had a real "ZEST" for life and lived it to it’s fullest. He loved his Country and his Family, and we loved him. In his final day’s he often said,

Gary Douglas Johnson, 66, of Peoria, AZ, passed away July 9, 2007. He is survived by his wife Marie, daughter Donna Johnson, three brothers, four sisters and grandchildren, Destini, Dustin and Alex. Robert T. Nelson died suddenly on July 2, 2007 in Boswell Hospital. Bob was born in
McKittrick, MO Dec. 29, 1918. He was a 20 year veteran of the US Army, serving in N. Africa, Sicily, D-Day and across Europe. After the war, he served in Canada and Japan. Following retirement, he spent 25 years with Goodyear Tire Co where he received an award for never taking sick day. He and Elizabeth moved to Sun City from Dallas, TX in 2004. "The Celebration His Life" will be held at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103 Ave., Sun City at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 14, 2007.
