Brian Bruchhauser, 45, of Goodyear, AZ, passed away surrounded by his family on Oct. 27, 2009. Brian moved to AZ from NM in 1982.
He proudly served in the US Navy for 4 years and 2 years of Reserves.
He is survived by his parents Phillip & Rose Ann Bruchhauser, 2 sisters Cindy (Geoff) Millard and Lisa Bruchhauser and 2 brothers Jim Bruchhauser and Mark (Michelle) Bruchhauser. Also surviving are 3 nephews Scott and Kevin Millard and Joey Bruchhauser and 1 niece, Brittany Bruchhauser. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with Rosary 6:30 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Rd., Avondale, AZ.

Dan Alex Tolmachoff
69, of Glendale, passed away October 25, 2009 with his family by his side. An Arizona native, Dan was born on May 16, 1940 in Glendale. Dan was an Arizona public servant for 45 years, 20 years at the Department of Public Safety, and 25 years at the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Arizona Highway Patrol Association and the Brophy College Preparatory Dad’s Club. He was a very caring and considerate man and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Sharon, daughter Heather Tolmachoff and son Gregory Tolmachoff. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8pm on Thursday, October 29th at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, Arizona. Graveside service will be held 11 am on Friday, October 30th at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, Arizona. Ollie Bell MacDonald Newsome passed away in Glendale, Arizona on October 20, 2009. Ollie Newsome was born March 27, 1924 to Leon MacDonald and Elizabeth Reed in Richland, Louisiana of Ouachita Parish Louisiana. She was the wife of the late Elder Augustes D. Newsome. They were married for 59 years. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, three sisters, one brother, two sons.
She is survived by seven children, Elaine Smith, Frank W. Newsome, Sr., Diane Bert, Margie Lyons, Calvin V. Newsome, Darlene Scott Newsome, and Clifford G. Newsome. She left 41 Grandchildren, 17 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great-grandchild.
To their union were born nine children: Elaine Smith of Glendale, AZ; Frank W. Newsome, Sr. of Glendale, AZ; Diane Bert of Bakersfield, CA, Margie Lyons of Suisun, CA; Calvin V. Newsome of Fresno, CA; Darlene Scott Newsome of Fresno, CA; Clifford G. Newsome of Fresno, CA; the late Augustes D. Newsome, Jr. and the late Floyd L. Newsome, Sr.
The Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th at 11:00 am – Antioch Church of God in Christ, 9600 West Peoria Ave, Peoria, AZ. Instead of flowers, send donations to Antioch Church of God in Christ.

Carmen M. Monreal, 92, of Waddell, AZ passed away Oct. 19, 2009. A lifelong Arizona resident, Carmen was born in Calvin, Arizona and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph B. Monreal, daughter Elenor Boulden and a sister Julia Vega. Survivors include her son Rudolph Monreal and his wife Janice.; sisters Margaret Cobos and Irene Blew; grandchildren Robbie Monreal, Christine Christensen, Teresa Boulden and Steven Boulden; great grandchildren Dylan & Shelby Monreal and Steven Boulden, Jr. and many, many loving nieces. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City. PRENTICE, HENRY SPENCE; age 83; departed this life October 13, 2009, after a valiant battle with cancer. Henry was born on March 31, 1926 in Detroit, MI and was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings. Mr. Prentice was a United States Marine Corp. veteran serving his country proudly in WWII. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Anne with whom, he celebrated over 50 years of marriage. He is survived by his children Scott and Karen; proud grandfather of Christopher Kinor, Heidi (Jeffery) Butler, Alyssa Prentice; loving great-grandfather of Haley and Jared Butler; numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends of the Masonic orders. Lucky to have found love twice in his life, he married Mary Alice Tait-Prentice in 2001, who preceded him in death. Henry was affiliated with several of the Masonic Orders serving as Past Grand Royal Patron of the Grand Court of Arizona, Order of the Amaranth; Past Grand Patron of the Grand Chapter of Arizona, Order of the Eastern Star; Past Watchman of Shepherds, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem; member of the Phoenix York Rite Bodies; 56 year member and Past Master of Farmington Lodge #151 F&A.M. and a proud member of Sun City Lodge #72 F&A.M. Carol Jean Curtin 89 of Sun City, AZ passed away Oct. 11, 2009. Mrs. Curtin was born in Shenandoah, PA February 22, 1920. She was a graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA class of 1940. When visiting a sister in Douglas, WY in 1948 she met and married Paul Curtin June 1, 1949. Mr. Curtin died in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother. She resided in Douglas, WY until moving to Sun City permanently in 2006. She enjoyed Bridge, Golf, travel, reading and had a love for dogs. She was a member of the Red Cross (Gray Ladies), Retired Sr. Volunteer Patrol, volunteering at Boswell Hospital and the Senior Center. She is survived by her nieces and nephews. Lucille (Lu) Krois, of Sun City, AZ, a native of St. Paul, MN. Born on December 19, 1921, Lucille left this earth for a better place on October 9, 2009. She is loved, and will be missed by her children, Karen Rulli (Joseph), and James Mazur; grandchildren Jodi and Gina Rulli, Noah (Tasha) and Evan Mazur (Jenny); seven great grandchildren; and her loving companion, Barney. She was an amazing woman, who will be remembered for her wisdom, wit and loving ways.
