Tradup, Catherine (Thibault), Age 90, passed away November 24, 2009 in Sun City, Arizona. Catherine was born January 30, 1919 in Faribault, Minnesota. She is survived by her Husband, D. John Tradup, Sons; Jim(Sue), Al(Nancy), Daughter, Carol(Norm), 6 Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a Son, Steve. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, December 4, 2009 at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ.
Francis P. Ryan

Francis P. Ryan, 81, of Peoria, AZ passed away on 11/24/09. He was born in Richmond Hill, NY. He worked for NY Telecommunications for 20 years and later for Broward County Florida as a mass transit bus driver. Francis is survived by his children, James T. Ryan (Peoria), Virginia R. Doran (Sparks, NV), Marianne Mingua (Scottsdale), Frank Ryan (Florida) as well as 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He will also be deeply missed by his beloved dog, Bozo. The family wishes that in lieu of flowers that you consider a donation to Hospice of Arizona, located at 12740 Plaza Del Rio Blvd., Peoria, AZ 85381. Francis passed with the dignity and care provided by Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, located at 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ.

Richard Schwartze, Beloved Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend, of Glendale, Arizona passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2009.
Richard was born on November 12, 1943, in Vienna, Missouri to William and Josephine Schwartze.
A Drill Sergeant in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968, Richard moved to Arizona in 1970 to work for Dell Webb. Subsequently, he became a self-employed man as he worked his whole life bringing joy to many people in the Sun City area as he built and remodeled many homes and businesses.
Richard is survived by his daughters, Cindie Runyan and Julie Dodson; siblings, Donald Schwartze, Leo Schwartze, Marilyn Mollet and Mildred Jennings; grandson, Nicholas Runyan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 North 103rd Avenue, Sun City, Arizona.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 11:00 am at Menke Funeral Home.
Interment will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 12:30 pm at National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, St. Mary’s Basilica and the American Cancer Society.
“Nana” Ruth Martin Brady

“Nana” Ruth Martin Brady, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends on Thursday November 19, 2009. She was born July 23, 1915 in Casa Grande, Arizona. She was finally reunited with her parents, Charles and Concha Martin, her loving husband, Gilbert Brady, and her children, Gilbert Jr., Bridget, and Jerry who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Mary, brother, Charles, several nieces and nephews, and countless grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She will be missed and cherished by all who loved her. Services will be held November 24th at 1:00pm at St. Marks Catholic Church, 400 N. 30th st., Phoenix, Az. Wells, Robert “Bob” Albert
61 of Surprise, passed away Wednesday, November 18th after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He was preceded
in death by his parents Lester & Norma, and his brother James, and his sisters Sharon and Leslie. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon. His son Robert (Rachel), his daughter Jennifer (Chad), his brother David (Kathy), his sister Beth, his aunt Ruth (Robert), and his grandchildren, Amber, Tara, Adam, and Michael.
He also leaves behind the thriving business, Saguaro Glass Inc., which he built with his own two hands. His hard work, dedication, and amazing insight helped prove the American Dream for his family. He will be missed in the business community as well for customer or competitor alike all knew they could call the “JustAskBob” hotline for fair and honest information and advice.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, November 21st at Country Meadows golf club @ 8411 N. 107th Avenue in Peoria, AZ at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Peoria, PO Box 96, Peoria, AZ 85380-0096.
Phillip Z. Saba

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Dr. Phillip Z. Saba, 88, of Litchfield Park died Friday, November 13th at Thunderbird Hospital.
Phillip was born March 29th, 1921 in Nogales, Arizona. His family moved to Texas in 1936 where he later attended Trinity University in San Antonio and Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
In 1958, Phillip moved his family to Phoenix where he practiced General Surgery for 28 years. He was appointed to the Board of Medical Examiners by Govenor Raul Castro where he served until he retired. After retirement he became a consultant for the Board.
Dr. Saba was a veteran of two wars, serving with the Army at a Veterans Hospital in McKinney, Texas during WWII and as the Air Attaché for the U.S. Embassy in Burma (now Myanmar) for the Air Force during the Korean War.
Phillip was a member of St. Vincent De Paul in Maryvale, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Avondale, and was a member and past president of the Phoenix Surgical Society.
Phillip loved the Phoenix Suns, growing his own unbelievably sweet citrus in his back yard and carving beautiful things in wood.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 54 years Ebye, his daughter Phyllis Zoe, two sons, Phillip Jr. and Khaleel Andrew, two sisters, Afifa and Helen, one brother, Emil, two grandchildren, Lauren and Zachary,his daughter in law Kim Graeme, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 23rd at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Rd., Avondale, AZ.
Menke Funeral Home in Sun City made the arrangements.
Wilma Marie Viel

Wilma Marie Viel, 69, of Sun City, died November 16, 2009, in Peoria, AZ. Born March 31, 1940, to Shirley and William Carl Potts in Yakima, WA, Wilma spent her early years in southwest Washington. She married Daniel Viel in Seaview, WA , January 8, 1960. Wilma and Dan settled in the Phoenix area in 1966. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Teresa Martin and Christine Ferguson, two sons, Paul and William Carl Viel, and four grandchildren. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. Monday, November 23, 2009, at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ. She will be inurned in Bay Center, WA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of Arizona, 2222 W. Northern Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85021.
Irene Oakes Bell

Irene Oakes Bell was born September 10,1910, and raised with her three sisters and one brother on a tobacco farm in Clover, Virginia. She and her sisters played basketball on the Clover High girls team. Irene met her beloved husband, David Robert Bell, in Washington, DC, and lived in Bethesda, Maryland until 1946. David R. was transferred by his employer, TWA, to New Castle, Delaware that year, and in 1949 he and his family were transferred again to Kansas City. Living in Mission, Kansas, Irene became a skilled bridge player, belonging to several local bridge clubs. Her daughter Joyce and her son David E. attended grade school and high school in Mission, and the University of Kansas at Lawrence. Several years after retiring from TWA in 1972, David and Irene moved to Sun City, Arizona. Irene continued her enjoyment with bridge by joining several clubs in Sun City. They were members of the Willowbrook Methodist Church. Irene and Dave’s daughter, Joyce Arlene Barry, lived in Tulsa until her death in 1982. Her son lives in San Anselmo, California, with his wife Lydia and daughter Julianne.
Irene and David R. leaves grandson Scott Cole of Bainbridge Island, Washington, grandaughters Megan Berry, Leslie Palmer and their brother Matt Berry of Oklahoma City, and granddaughter Julianne. Irene’s final resting place will be with her husband in Clover, Virginia, where they will rest in peace together alongside other members of the Oakes family. She and David R. will be missed, but remembered fondly by family and friends. May God grant them eternal happiness.

93, went peacefully to her Lord on Nov 8, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Heacock in 1993, son Jon in 1980, and daughter Vicki Lou in 1939. Mildred was born in Mpls, MN July 25, 1916. She is survived by 5 children, Janice Loppnow, Katherine Mittelsteadt, Ann Long, Beth Blake, Kenny Heacock, 13 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all. A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov 20th, at 4:00 pm at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N 103rd Ave in Sun City. Reception to follow. Myrna Q. Bellomy, 61, of El Mirage, AZ passed away Nov. 2, 2009. Myrna was born Aug. 20, 1948 in Manila, Philippines. She moved to Arizona 26 years ago from Iowa and was a school cafeteria assistant manager. Survivors include her husband Bill; children Cathy Nachie (Brendon), Ricky Mosely (Brian) and Joy Angel; father Rudy Quesada; brother Rico Quesada; sisters Linda Quesada, Becky Evilsizer, Naila Middleton and Precy Appleby; grandchildren Avery Angel, Joely, Drew & Zachary Nachie.
