Donna Marie Casey, 44, passed away August 22, 2007 after a year long battle with lung cancer. She was born in New York and moved to Arizona when she was 13. She attended Greenway High School and graduated in 1980. She worked for American Express for 13 years then went to work for Tri West. Donna was a loving, caring person who had trouble saying no whenever she was asked for a favor. She lived to spoil her niece and nephew Brooklyn & Blake, they were so important to her. She is survived by her brother John, sister in law Tammy, niece & nephew and grandmother Meta. You have left loving memories in the hearts of your family & friends. Go be with the Lord and Mom & Dad, they are calling you. You truly belong in heaven. Thank you, Hospice of the Valley, for all your love & support. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior on Monday, August 27, 2007 at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ with graveside service to follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ. Evelyn M. Hatfield, 95, passed away August 16, 2007. She was survived by her daughters, Sandra Shelley, Pat Berger, Bonnie Todd; grandchildren, great grandchildren and her sister Margaret Smith. Ellen Elizabeth Scanlan, 89, of Peoria, AZ passed away August 14, 2007. Born in Peoria, Illinois, she was a seamstress and moved to Arizona 32 years ago. A member of St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, she is survived by her sons Jim Scanlan and wife Diana and Thomas F. Scanlan III and wife Margaret; brother Bill Robinson and wife Lorraine; sister Nancy Nieman; grandchildren Susan, James, Cynthia, Ellen, Brian, and Jennifer and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Thomas Scanlan Jr. in 1999. Mr. Anderson passed away August 10th at home in Sun City, AZ after a brief illness. He was born September 3rd, 1919 in Willard, Colorado. He served his country for 22 years in the U.S. Navy and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. After retiring from the service, he served his community for 13 years as U.S. Postal Service carrier. He had four children. He married his wife Theresa in 1971 and has lived in Arizona since 1969. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife Theresa, daughters Geri husband Tom Scott and Mary husband Walter Scott and son Robert Maguire, grandsons Landon Maguire and Charles Scott, and sisters Evelyn Fox and Judy husband Marion Ingersoll. He is pre-deceased by son, Richard Maguire, parents Simon and Ellen Anderson, sister Violetta Dodrill and brothers Clifford and Phillip Anderson. A memorial service will be held on at 9:00 AM on Friday, August 17, 2007 at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Mr. Anderson

Eleanor Ward Rudville Marton Hoganson, daughter of Andrew Ward and Etta Miller peacefully entered the Kingdom of Heaven on August 8, 2007. Her last days were filled with visits from family and friends, prayers, Bible reading, singing and loving calls and messages from family. Eleanor was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on August 10, 1921. After having lived in New Jersey for many years, she relocated to Arizona where she relished the sunny weather and playing golf. Gabriel Cole Claywell, of Glendale, AZ, was just 16 years old when he was taken from us on August 5, 2007. Gabe, as he was known to his family and many, many friends was an Honor Roll student at Glendale High School. He was involved in many activities, wrestling, Young Life Christian group, school sports mascot and was always helping out someone in need. He will be greatly missed by EVERYONE that knew him.
