Douglas Kubic

Douglas Kubic, 71, passed away November 28, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ. A Milwaukee native, Doug was the Vice President of the International Longshoreman’s Association of the Great Lakes District Council and Secretary/Treasurer of his local union. In 2010, after 40+ years, Doug retired to Sun City, AZ and Virginia Beach, VA. Doug was passionate about politics, sports (GO PACK GO!), labor unions, and protecting the rights of all workers. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Ann (Sulik) Kubic. He is survived by his wife Barbara and his brother Tom (Tana), also of Sun City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Team Phinz, an organization with which he was active. As Doug requested no funeral, his family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 1-5 pm at his home in Sun City.
