dad,I never thought I’d be writing to say I missed You.Since 1979 You’ve been in arizona ,but there still were the calls and the visits,which were lengthy ,great and memorable at the very least.they are gone now to be replaced by memories of a great guy . You’re with mom again having a grand ole time I’m sure and as You always asked ,yes jeannie’s fine,yes bobby’s fine and yes barbara’s fine .Thanks again DAD for all our memories

First, I wish to offer my condolences to Jeannie and Arnie and the rest of the Main family. I know you’ve lost a very special person. I got a chance to meet George, when I first moved to Franklin Square. He was a really funny man. I remember him and his wife coming back from one of their trips searching for antiques. He was very talented bringing the life back into something old and making it look like new. Arnie inherited that same unique talent, and then some. I remember his straight forward personality. When I would ring Arnie and Jeannie’s doorbell and he would answer, I never knew what would come out of his mouth. It would either shock me or make me laugh. He was one of those rare people in life not afraid to be who he was. Nothing phony about him and that’s what made him so refreshing. He was a class act and I’m sure he has them cracking up in Heaven. God has a place for people like that in Heaven. Try to keep the funny side of him in your memories cause he’s up there, entertaining, in no pain and watching over all of you. Fondly, Joyce

I want to offer condolences to Elaine and the family. Although this is a difficult time, I hope you can enjoy fond memories and look forward to the time when he will be resurrected by Jesus. “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out…”John 5:28,29. Can you imagine how wonderful life will be when he has the opportunity to live forever in perfect health right here in a paradise earth? With no more wickedness and no more pain and sorrow or sickness, life will truly be the way God purposed it to be. George was certainly a very special person who would lend a helping hand, no matter what the circumstances, and whose laugh brought joy to all who experienced it. He will ever remain in our hearts.

Dad,In 1979 I joined your family and I was one of the gang,never treated like an in-law.I have such fond memories from living with you and mom before your retirement, vacationing with you and mom, sharing holidays, and oh so much more.We really had some funny stories to tell when we spoke every Sunday for two hours and then after mom passed in 1991, yes, we still conversed, only it changed from every Sunday to every afternoon while Arnold was at work, and you still had something to talk to Arnold about on Sundays.You use to tell everyone”you can talk to Jeannie about anything.” I will treasure my memories always. Your finally with mom.Celebrate. I love you!
