Yamaoka, George
82 of Surprise, AZ, passed away on August 29, 2009. He was born in Sacramento, CA in February, 1927. During WW II, he lived in Hiroshima, Japan, where he was a survivor of the atomic bomb. He returned to the United States in 1949, and served in the Army during the Korean War. He lived in Chicago from the early 1950s to 2000, when he and his wife Frances moved to Arizona. He is survived by his wife Frances, son Michael Janet, daughter Pamela Gene Los, and granddaughter Kristen Los. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 18, 2009 at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City AZ 85351, 623 949-6451.
