Howard Bergquist

Howard Haldane Bergquist, 94, of Mesa, AZ ( formerly of Dunlap, IL ), passed away October 31, 2013. He was born in Peoria, Ill., December 4, 1918 to Walt and Maude Bergquist. Howard was in the Navy during WWII. A member of Dunlap American Legion Post, SMWIA Local #1 for 71 years, Alta Masonic Lodge #748, Valley of Peoria Consistory, and Mohammed Shrine for 45 years. Preceeded in death by first wife Blanche Bergquist, survived by his second wife Eileen Bergquist, of Mesa, AZ, son Dane Bergquist (Lorraine), of Surprise, AZ, and sister Betty Norman, of Flagstaff, AZ. Howard is survived by grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Knippel, Brandy Madrid-Bergquist, Corie (Kaylee) Bergquist and 3 great grandchildren. Services will be held in Dunlap, Illinois at a later date.
