Lola Irene (Croft) Miles
Lola Irene Miles, age 90, of Sun City passed away May 2, 2012 at home with her husband and daughter at her side.
Lola was born October 28, 1921, in Freeville, New York to Eunice and Opal (Butterfield) Croft. On August 26, 2005, she married Richard W. Miles at Lakeview United Methodist Church in Sun City, Arizona, he survives.
Lola graduated in 1938 from Owego Free Academy High School in Owego, New York before moving to Michigan for several years. Lola moved to Arizona in 1968 and has lived there ever since. She enjoyed reading, counter cross stitch, bowling, golf and playing the organ before she developed macular degeneration for the last few years.
In addition to her husband, Richard, Lola is survived by one daughter Jacqueline (Glenn) Schmidt from Adrian, Michigan and one Step-Daughter Beverly DeViney from Oakland, California. Fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one daughter Sharon I. Schmidt, two sons Danne J. and David J. Saxton along with one grandson Kenneth Schmidt.
Memorial service will be observed Tuesday May 8, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Lakeview United Methodist Church, Sun City, with Pastor Ross Parrott officiating. Internment will be at the Church Columbarium.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.

Richard and Aunt Jackie
I am saddened to hear about Gramma Lol. I wish i could have met her in person but circumstances never allowed that. I did get a brief chance to talk on the phone with her which was nice. Even though we are not a close family please,keep in mind that all of you are still in my heart.

I am saddened that we lost such a strong and loving woman. Grandma will be deeply missed…
Rick and Aunt Jackie – thank you both for being there for her and helping her through the hardest last two years of her life. I will miss her but I know she is in a better place and no longer suffering! My dad, Danne, Aunt Sharon, Uncle David, and cousin Kenny are up in Heaven with open arms to greet her and all be together.
