Louise A. Underwood

Louise A. Underwood, 93, Sun City, AZ, passed away at Boswell Hospital on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007. Louise was born in July 1914 in Chicago, the youngest daughter of Louis and Lena Conklin. She married Carl Underwood in 1933, residing in Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin before retiring to Sun City in 1977. Louise loved the warm sunshine of Arizona and took advantage of the many activities available to her, including but not limited to the pools, mini-golf, bridge, line dancing, aerobics, and round dancing. She was a 30-year member of the First United Methodist Church in Sun City and an avid card player. Louise Underwood is survived by her sons, Ronald Barbara and Paul Ann; six grandchildren, Valarie Jim Mitchell, Vicky Charles Tasopulos, and Steve Leah Underwood in Dayton, Ohio; Michael Underwood Little Rock, Arkansas, Heidi Mike Doedens, and Jeff Candy Underwood in Milwaukee, WI; 12 great grandchildren; a nephew, Larry Shirley Berger; and a host of good friends. She was predeceased by her husband and two sisters. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at First United Methodist Church, 9849 N. 105th Ave., Sun City, AZ 85351. Memorials to the church would be appreciated. Menke Funeral Home handled arrangements.
