Luis Contreras

Luis (Luie) Contreras, 64, of Sun City, Arizona, died on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, surrounded by his children and close family members. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Lorenza and Candelario Contreras, the second oldest of five children. Luie graduated from Dysart High School where he was a standout student and athlete. Over the years he worked in shipping and distribution and was known for his kindness and humor. A proud father, he loved his children unconditionally and could be found watching a game - any game - in his free time. Luie is survived by his three children,Tanya Wheeless (Steve), Luie Contreras (Shannon) and Sierra Contreras; grandson Jake Wheeless; sisters Isabel and Bertha Contreras, brother Gilbert Contreras and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved sister Margaret. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. We will carry his memory in our hearts forever.
