Messages of Condolence

  1. Mary Fitzgerald Lyman says:

My prays and thoughts are with you all. Your mom was a great lady and will be missed.

    Love to you all

  2. Kathy Fitzgerald Bianchi says:

I’m so sad to hear about Mary. She was a wonderful lady – so generous, kind, and caring. So many memories come to mind: when you all lived on Auburndale Ave. and one of you accidentally set the couch on fire and tried to cover it up with newspapers so Mom wouldn’t know; Mom arriving to our house on Summer Street in Watertown to wallpaper, usually with Aunt Kathleen in tow; walking to your house on Waverley Ave. to have Mom perm my hair; and of course dancing with Uncle Joe whenever the music moved them.

Mary, and all of the Rooney clan, did not always have an easy life, but they persevered and never lost their faith. Mary’s strength and faith through so many loses and challenges is a lesson for all of us. I am happy to know that she rests peacefully in the arms of the Lord and hope you can all take comfort in this.
