    My Last Days with Paul,
I was fortunate enough to visit Paul 5 weeks ago. I was out in Arizona from Illinois for one week to see Paul and some friends of mine from College.
Liz Siron, Jane (Siron) Esco, Ron Esco, Paul and I started out at the Moose lodge in Peoria were Paul was so proud to introduce all of use to his friends, especially his daughters (and did not leave out Paulette who was at home in Joliet). I was always amazed at how people who knew Paul expressed how delighted they were to know Paul and be his friend.
On Wednesday Ron, Liz and Jane were hiking the Grand Canyon. I was in Phoenix visiting my Collage buddies. But I decided to go to Dinner with Paul and help him with some projects around the house. We had a great time. Paul was very thankful for small amount of work I helped him with at the house.
On Friday Liz, Paul and I ended up back at the Moose for the fish fry. Again every person we were introduced to raved on about how much they enjoyed Paul’s friendship. I have learned a great lesson in life from Paul to always care and be nice to people and can only hope I leave an impression on others here during my short stay on this earth.
Paul loved to dance and always insisted that Liz and get out on that dance floor. Paul loved music, he always came out to see and support my band back in Illinois. He very seldom missed a gig. Liz always picked up Paul and brought him to the gigs. Paul always had great things to say about the band. I remember in 2008 Paul stayed with us and we had practice in the basement. He sat on a stool in the room for the whole practice hanging out with the guys, his always said we were tough. This brought me great pleasure to me that Paul who especially liked country music hung in there with the Rock N Rollers. Paul’s favorite song we did was call me the breeze. As I sit her typing I can only feel the breeze has taken him to a better place.
Every time I spoke with Paul he was concern with how my to children were doing. Paul loved to shoot pool. When Paul found out my son Nick and I were shooting pool he showed up at my house with a very nice pool stick for Nick. Nick was very thankful and Paul, Nick, Liz, kate and I went to the bowling alley where Paul gave Nick some pointers. Nick pulled out the stick yesterday, I fought to hold back my tears.
To the Siron family, Paul will truly be missed.
    Holy Cats!

  3. Barbara Arends Swanson says:

Dear Jane, Liz, and Paulette- We have such fond memories of your Dad. I especially loved the way that he looked out for Aunt Irene. Every time that I went to visit her, it seemed that Uncle Paul had just been there or was coming for a visit. He had such a nice smile. Now he can be together with your Mom. I know that he missed her. Love, Barbara and Janet

  4. Jeff & Kelly Rogers says:
