Pearl Adella Braaten
“This is the picture that launched the Pearl and Conrad love story.”
Pearl Adella (Trygstad) Braaten
was a singer of songs and lullabyes
her glorious voice lifted us to the heavens
and her tender little lullabyes made us feel safe and loved
as did her prayers and the angels she encouraged
to surround us
now lead her home, back to heaven.
Pearl was a lover of Conrad,
their story filled sixty four years with the stuff dreams are built with
through hard work and devotion and trust and surprise.
She loved being a Mother
who could kiss our hurts and make them better
who laughed with us and encouraged us
who listened to our joys and our sorrows
as if they were her own
and then lifted them to the Lord in faith and in prayer
the same place each night where she lovingly placed her grandchildren
and great grands….all her family and friends…
“with the angels and Jesus”.
A beloved Grandmother and Gigi
she loved to roast marshmallows and count fish…
and the stars in the heavens
and scrabble scores…
a true lover of words
and of winning…
and books
and friends and good conversation.
She was a counselor, a trusted confidante,
a beautiful writer, a mentor
who loved puzzles and games and
taxes
and a good joke.
To her family and friends
she is our precious Pearl
of Great Price
who has left her treasure of wit and humor,
wisdom and beauty, courage and faith
here with us
along with her indomitable spirit.
She left these in our care and keeping
these sweet memories
before she went home to be with
“the angels and Jesus.”
