Shirley Ann Tripp

Shirley Ann Tripp, 87, of Sun City died June 30, 2008 of sudden cardiac arrest. A memorial service will be held at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd, Sun City, AZ on July 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Shirley was born in Seattle, Washington. Shortly after graduating from Edmonds High School, she joined the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corp. In 1944 she was stationed in New York where she met and married Winton Pern Tripp, who was also in the Army. They had two sons, Gary and Tracy. Many of her fondest memories come from living on Yeomalt Point, Bainbridge Island. Shirley and Winton retired at a very young age and spent the next 25 years traveling the world, finally settling in Sun City. She was kind, gentle and loving to all she met and was much loved by her family and all who knew her, loved her. She had a great life and a gentle death. We will all miss her.
