He spent time growing up in New York, Virginia, Florida, and eventually settled down in Colorado. There he married Norberta Doud and they would have four children. Duncan worked as a home builder and fireman. Later he gave his life to Jesus Christ and co-founded the Fellowship of Christian Firefighters International as well as becoming an ordained Chaplain. He then married Mary Jane VanBenschoten and they would have two sons. After retirement, Duncan spent time traveling and volunteering settling in Sun City, Arizona. It was in Sun City, Arizona he would meet his current wife, Gwen Adams. Together they would spend time traveling the world, much of it doing volunteer mission work and visiting family members across the globe. The two loved each other very much and cared for each other through ailments.
Duncan will always be remembered for his salvation story, caring heart, and continual prayers. He would make life-long friends wherever he went. Dad… your generosity, encouragement, love, and smile will live on in our hearts. You are missed and we look forward to the day we see you again in heaven.
