JUNE BERTHA RICHARDSON FLACK MERRITT of Peoria, Arizona. June was born on May 25, 1924 in Muskegon, MI. Her family later moved to Gary, IN where she graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1942. She was employed as a seamstress and worked at St. Mary Medical Center until her retirement. June moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1989, where she became of member of Church of the Good Samaritan. She was a devoted Christian who worked in many capacities including the Usher Board, Mother’s Board, Senior’s Outreach, and Pastor’s Aide. June was married to William James Flack, Sr. and to this union were born three children. June’s husband and two sons from the marriage (William James Flack Jr. and Freddie Leon Flack) preceded her in death. June departed this life on Sunday, December 6, 2015, in Peoria, AZ. She leaves to mourn her passing: daughter, Dorothy Holmes of Tolleson, AZ; son, Robert (Christa) Flack of Surprise, AZ; sister, Virginia Whitaker of Milwaukee, WI; niece Estelle Rogers of Phoenix, AZ; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 8 great, great-grandchildren, 6 great-nieces, a host of other relatives, and many friends.
