David Brockington

David Brockington (58) of Sun City, AZ was born in Dallas, Texas on July 12, 1961 as there was no hospital in his hometown town of Lancaster, Texas. David was a family man who loved to hunt and fish and especially loved the mountains of Montana. David was a deep believer in Christ and always said that “the family that prays together stays together”. David was a Master Mason, York Rite, and Past Patron in the Order of the Eastern Star. David had many careers including working as a geological assistant, service writer for car dealerships, purchaser/buyer for major universities as well as in the jewelry industry. His last occupation was that of an over-the road truck driver. David fell ill in Wyoming while taking a load across the country. 3 days later he was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of Leukemia called T-Cell Prolymphocytic (T-PLL) Leukemia. After a 6 month gallant and courageous fight God called David home. David is survived by his wife, Susan of Sun City, AZ, son Daniel and wife Katie Brockington of Fort Hood, Texas, daughter Dianna and husband Ted and his granddaughter Charlotte Gutierrez of Dallas, Texas, parents R.L. and Merle Brockington of Whitney, Texas and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. David is proceeded in death by 2 sons William Brockington and Christopher Brockington, daughter Hollie Sramek and his sister Melinda Turnage. Visitation will be Friday, September 27 from 9:00 - 10:00 am at Menke Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held immediately after at 10:30 am at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, AZ. A memorial service will be held in Texas at a later date.
