Lucia Gooding, 81, of Chandler formerly of Sun City, passed away June 13, 2006. Mrs. Gooding was born in Rio de Janeiro, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. She lived in Dayton, Ohio working as a computer programmer for the Department of Defense, until her retirement in 1974, when she relocated to Sun City. She was a very active member of the Sun City Animal Shelter S.C.A.R. and the United Church of Sun City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Gooding, and is survived by her daughter Cathie Donald Lowmiller, brother Eugene C. Harter, Jr., and three grandchildren, David Lowmiller Susan, Joseph Lowmiller and Joanna Lowmiller.
