Ruth Mulleneaux

Ruth Olive Mulleneaux, 85, of Peoria passed away peacefully on February 10, 2009. She was born on February 18, 1923 in Los Angeles, California. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Grant W. Mulleneaux and her sister Nicky Walsma. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Linda Woody Blackburn, Jill Gary Hassen; sons, Gene Rickey, Gary Connie, Dan Chris, & Dick Helen Mulleneaux; brother Dick Salter; step-brothers John & Don Salter; 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and a great grand-daughter to be joining the family soon. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved cat Holly also survive. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to all. A very compassionate person who loved children, especially babies. She was not just "a" Grandma but she was everyone's Grandma! Ruth loved her family to visit with her and told wonderful stories that her children and grandchildren will remember her for. She always gave if herself unselfishly. Everyone will miss her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 12951 N. 83rd Ln., Peoria, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
