Arvel Quick

Arvel was born on October 24th, 1938 in Birmingham, Alabama to Clarence and Charline. He spoke fondly of his Granny there, along with memories of picking cotton and selling watermelons with his dad. He spent his young adulthood in New York, where he met and married his late wife Barbara. He and Barbara had 3 young sons together, James, John and Jason before moving to Arizona, in 1973. He lost her to cancer, shortly after. Arvel went on to marry Sharon, accompanied by her daughter, Charlene. They spent 18 years together, raising a family and adding two more children, Justin and Jennifer. He was a roofer by trade and taught all the boys in the family. He will always be known as a hard-working man. He also loved Harley-Davidsons, to which he owned many over the years. He spent his later life with his current wife, Karin, riding and traveling together until he was not able to. Arvel touched so many lives over the years, and will always be remembered for his conviction, strength, wisdom, and love of family. He was preceded in death by his son Jason, and survived by his wife, Karin, 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
