Barbara Irene Emerson

Barbara Irene (McQuiggan) Emerson Age 77, died peacefully on June 22, 2023 in Glendale Arizona from complications of COPD and CHF. 

Barbara was born July 9th 1945 in Akron, Ohio to William A.F. McQuiggan and Lena Josephine (Davis) McQuiggan. She graduated from Central High School in Akron, OH. Class of 1964. She worked at Boswell Hospital in Sun City, AZ. for 28 years until her retirement in 2010. She married James A. Emerson on December 17th 1965. They had 3 children while living in Ohio. In November of 1979 they moved to Arizona. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Jim July 14, 2014 and their first born son Jimmy September 29, 2015.

She is survived by her daughter Jackie (Jason) Ashlock and son Terry (Cheryl) Emerson and grandchildren Jamie (Raymond), Kristen, Phillip (Danielle) Samantha, Isabelle and Benjamin. Great grandchildren Steven, MacKenzie, Nicholas and Presley. 

Family and friends are invited to attend the service and mass on Thursday July 6th at 10am Saint James Roman Catholic Parish
