Ben Gregory of Surprise passed away on Friday Feb 6, 2009. Ben was born in Harrisburg Pa. on 2/27/29. Ben was raised and educated at Barium Springs Home for Children in Troutman, N.C. As a child growing up, the orphanage was the only home Ben ever knew and he had a great pride in the way he was raised. He loved his home and the many brothers and sisters he grew up with. After graduating from Barium Springs, he attended University of North Carolina on a basketball scholarship. Ben had a long and successful career with General Electric Co. and retired after 38 years of service. He is survived by his wife Barbara and son Dr Benjamin Gregory of Charlotte, N.C. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
