Berta Elisa Rivera, 86, of Litchfield Park, AZ passed away July 26, 2010. Berta was born in Panama City, Panama. She has resided in Arizona for the past 9 years and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Avondale, Arizona. Berta is survived by her husband of 65 years Eugenio; children Ilka Heins, Ingrid Walden, Anthony Rivera, Iris Stencil and Sylvana Carol; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded by son Dwight David Rivera. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ 85351. Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 6, 2010 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Rd., Avondale, AZ. Burial to follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
