Betty Barnes

Betty Annette Barnes, 88, of Sun City West, Arizona went home to our Lord and Savior on June 20, 2022, she was born to the late Ralph and Lucille Weinbeck in Clinton, Iowa on February 24, 1934. Betty moved to Arizona in 1956 where she met and married Wayne Dee Barnes Sr. on August 17, 1960; they raised their two children in Laveen, Arizona. Betty retired from M. C. Cash Elementary school in 1989, post retirement she and Wayne spent many years traveling in their RV, exploring the country and chasing cooler weather. Betty enjoyed her many crafts, reading and spending time with her family. Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years Wayne, her daughter Cynthia & Ron Kee, daughter-in-law Carrie (Barnes) Gofourth, grandchildren Savannah (Barnes) & Cameron Gustafson, Brianne Kee, Hailey (Barnes) & David Byrd, Austin Kee, 4 great grandchildren and her sister Carol Kramer. She is preceded in death by her son Wayne “Dee” Barnes, Jr. (2007) and her sister Marlene Orte (2009). Celebration of Life is planned for 2:00 pm Monday, July 11, 2022 at Crosstrain Church located 21469 N 78th Ave. Suite 150 Peoria, AZ 85382.
