Betty Jane McCormick, 79, of Surprise, AZ passed away Sept. 13, 2015. Betty was born in Alexandria, VA and lived and raised her family in Louisiana before moving to Arizona in 2003. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, her favorite TV show Wheel of Fortune and loved playing with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John; children Michael E. McCormick, Debra K. Lesan (Harvey); Joseph P. McCormick (Dawn), Rev. Thomas J. McCormick (Jacque) and Mary M. Busher (Mark); grandchildren Courtney (Clint), Joshua (Tara), Bradley (Jaynah), Matthew, Dylan, Brittney, Hannah, Jonathan great-grandchildren Jackson, MacKenzie, Addison, Cason and Elias. She was preceded in death by brothers Robert & James Sathmary and her sisters Joann Johnson & Elizabeth Jenkins. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ.
