Bruce A. Borders, 56, of Sun City, AZ passed away May 6, 2006. He was born in Harvey, IL. He retired from the DeKalb, Illinois Police Dept. after 24 years of service including serving as a D.A.R.E. officer. After moving to Mesa, AZ in 1996, he worked with the City of Mesa as a Crime Prevention Specialist. A loving husband and father, who loved his family and volunteer work, including serving as a volunteer for Scottsdale Memorial Hospital North and the Sun City Library. He is survived by his wife Diane, mother Beverly Uhlean, sons Adam and Brent Borders, brothers Dennis, Mark, Darryl and Mike Borders, sister Brenda Berg and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Tracy Winscom.
