Carlene Evelyn
Cole
Jan 16, 1942 — Sep 22, 2026
Peoria, Arizona
Loving mother of Joan; Ken (Sara), Janet (John)
Loving grandmother of Blake, Sydney, and Mackenzie
Daughter to late Lillian and Carl Wadas.
Sister to Lauren and Aunt to Jennifer
Carlene was an uncomplicated person who truly wore her heart on her sleeve. She was always honest and straightforward but kind, unconditionally loving and such a supportive person to her family.
If there were words to describe Carlene they would be: bright, happy, positive, strong, giving, selfless, loving, compassionate, hard worker.
Her proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren.
She truly adored her daughters and was so proud of the lives they built and the women they became. She never hesitated to share her admiration for her daughters Joan and Janet and son-in-law John. Carlene’s relationship with John was special. She always said that John always kept her on her toes and loved his sense of humor.
Carlene loved her son and his family and cherished the memories of the time shared with them.
One of her favorite things to do is to be with her family, enjoying all of the activities and fun. She would laugh about how she couldn’t keep up with all of the joking and laughing. She had so many memories of traveling to dance and cheer competitions, gymnastics meets and vacations with her daughters and granddaughters. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader. Her heart was filled with the love from her granddaughters.
Carlene had a close relationship with her sister Lauren, despite living on the other side of the country. It was an unbreakable bond that they shared, along with her niece Jennifer who held a special place in her heart
She was very proud of everything she had worked so hard for and truly appreciated all that God had provided for her. She always said “God always watches out for me” no matter what.
Carlene was a very dedicated and proud parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton. She was a former member of the Parish Council, officer of the Seton Ladies Society, Choir, Funeral Ministry, Hospitality Ministry and Arts & Environments.
Her parish “family” meant the world to her and gave her such meaning to her life. Jesus always said to share your time, talents, and treasures. That’s exactly what Carlene did. All of the time that she spent at her home away from home, St. Elizabeth Seton, was all for the Glory of God.
