Charles Frederick Curry, a devoted family man, veteran, and public servant, passed away on April 28, 2026, in Sun City, Arizona. Born on May 19, 1940, Mr. Curry lived a life marked by dedication to his country, his community, and his loved ones.

A graduate of Mason City High School in Mason City, Iowa, Charles answered the call to serve his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. During his service, he contributed as a pharmacist's technician in the medical corps, exemplifying care and commitment in his duties. Following his military career, he embarked on a professional journey primarily in medical sales. In the early 1970s, after relocating to Arizona, Mr. Curry continued to serve the public through his work with the state of Arizona. His roles included fraud investigation and assisting refugee families in establishing new lives, reflecting his compassionate nature and dedication to helping others.

Charles was known as a loving father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He shared a marriage of 46 years with his beloved wife, Nancy Curry. Together, they built a family that grew to include their sons Jon (Marti) Curry and Robert (Paige) Curry, as well as Charles’s sister, Elizabeth Redd. The family circle extended further with grandchildren Reece Curry, Trevor (Judi) Curry, Meghan (Shon) Hicks, Riley (Katlyn) Curry, and Dillon (Whitney) Curry. At the time of his passing, he was also a cherished great-grandfather to Noah, Ayden, Ethan, Emilia, Addyson, Wyatt, Killian, and Rylee.

Mr. Curry found joy in fishing, hunting, cooking, and entertaining, pursuits that echoed his zest for life and moments shared with family and friends. His warmth and generosity were hallmarks of his personality, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Charles Curry and Ruth Lillian Werschky.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Charles Frederick Curry on June 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the American Lutheran Church of Sun City, located at 17200 N Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85373. This service will offer an opportunity for family and friends to gather, remember, and celebrate the remarkable life he led.
