Connie M Archer

Connie M. Archer (Westman), 95, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024 after a long illness.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Ralph, and her brother Nick Westman.  She is survived by a sister, Nola Huso, and brother, Owen Westman, Sons Rod (Jill), Keith (Deb), Daughter Amy Olson (Kurt), 9 Grandchildren, and 10 Great-grandchildren.

Connie was a gentle, thoughtful, elegant woman, admired by all that knew her.  She made an incredible home for her family, always filling it with beauty, love, and the aroma of fresh baked desserts.  A graduate in Home Economics from North Dakota State University, she taught home economics before marrying and following her husband through two years in the Air Force and then through his 39-year career at 3M Company.  They settled in the growing suburbs in White Bear Lake, MN and, except for a four-year assignment in eastern Pennsylvania, raised their family there.  A lifelong member of the Lutheran church she lived her faith through teaching Sunday School, leading Discovery class and hosting Couples Club.  She led catering services at the church for years, and made sure coffee was hot and fresh each Sunday.  In retirement she moved to Arizona and through her gift of hospitality, created a warm welcoming home and wonderful gatherings for family and friends.   She loved, encouraged, and supported her grandchildren, caring deeply about their lives.

Memorial services will be held May 31 at Community of Grace Lutheran Church, 4000 Linden St, White Bear Lake, Minnesota. 10:30 Visitation, 11:30 Service, a light lunch to follow. 

Interment will precede the services May 31, 9 AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis Minnesota.
