Obituary

Cruz Flores, 81, passed away peacefully in his home on June 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 12, 1945, in Harlingen, Texas, Cruz lived a life defined by kindness, dedication, and unwavering work ethic. He was a man of many trades and endless determination. Over the years, he worked as a gravel truck driver, a cement truck driver, a migrant farm worker, and proudly owned and operated his own landscaping business for more than 20 years. Whatever the job, Cruz approached it with pride, skill, and a deep sense of responsibility.

Cruz was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Juanita Tover Flores, and a loving father to his seven children. His family was his greatest joy. He cherished time spent traveling, watching old western movies, enjoying Spanish music videos, and simply being surrounded by those he loved. His warm smile, gentle spirit, and generous heart touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing him.

He leaves behind a beautiful legacy through his 7 children, 24 grandchildren, 67 great‑grandchildren, and 4 great‑great‑grandchildren, all of whom carry pieces of his love and strength forward.

Cruz is survived by his children, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Tover Flores, his parents Jose Maria Flores and Emilia Delarosa Flores, and his sister Oralia Geddie.

His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave will continue to live on in every life he touched.
