Daniel John Rath, age 83, of Peoria, Arizona, and formerly a longtime resident of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, passed away on October 9, 2025, in Peoria. Born on February 17, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Daniel was known for his dedication to his work and the many passions he pursued throughout his life.
Daniel spent much of his professional career in electronics repair, making a meaningful impact during his time with O&W Communications in Sheboygan. His deep expertise and meticulous attention to detail earned him a respected reputation in the field.
In 2004, Daniel relocated to Arizona, where he continued to enjoy the activities that brought him joy. He found great satisfaction in tinkering with gadgets and spending time in his workshop, a testament to his inventive and resourceful nature. He happily worked at Ace Hardware in Youngtown where he received great satisfaction from helping others with his knowledge of how build and fix things.
Alongside his beloved wife, Mary, he embraced a love of travel, exploring destinations both near and far. Daniel also had a special place in his heart for his dogs, whose companionship brought him lasting happiness.
Family was the cornerstone of Daniel’s life. He is survived by his wife, Mary Rath; his son, Matthew Koehler; and three cherished grandchildren: Summer Schimbers, Isla Koehler, and Coen Koehler. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering love.
Daniel was preceded in death by his daughters Patricia L. VanDeLoo and Christine Koehler, and his son, William R. Rath.
Daniel John Rath leaves behind a legacy of love, innovation, and adventure. His commitment to his work, his family, and his friends will continue to inspire and be remembered with deep affection.
