Dave Wekamp of Sun City passed away on June 1, 2023, at home surrounded by his wife and family. Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by wife Anna (Sweet) Wekamp, daughters, Pamela (Sweet) Barber (Brian Barber), and Michelle (Wekamp) Davis (Warren Davis), 7 grandchildren, William Barber, Joshua Barber, Chelsea Davis, Ashley Davis, Bailey Davis, Katie Ann Barber and Andrew Barber and 4 great-grandchildren, Adelynn Barber, Chandler Barber, Brian Barber and Everett Barber. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Dave was born in Jefferson City, MO. to Joseph and Naomi Wekamp. He enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17 and served with “B Company 2^nd Battalion, 34^th Infantry” from January 1966 to August 1968. He spent most of his time in Europe serving in Germany. When Dave returned, he met the love of his life Anna, and they remained happily married for 54 years. He retired with Anna to Sun City in 2015 from Springfield, MO after 35 years of employment with Ecolab as a pest control specialist. He was known as the “Bug Man” to friends and family. Dave was an avid golfer and could frequently be found on a golf course or driving around town in his golf cart. He was a St. Louis Cardinal’s and NASCAR fan and was an Elks member of Sun City Lodge AZ, # 2559. 

Dave will be forever remembered by all who know and love him.
