David Dixon

David J. Dixon (Joe), 70, passed away peacefully on Friday March 31, 2023, in Sun City, AZ. Joe was born in St. Louis, MO November 25, 1952. He attended Normandy High School and became a Firefighter in March of 1975 at the Wellston Fire Protection District. He eventually transferred to the Chesterfield / Monarch Fire Protection District where he served until his retirement in November of 2015. Joe was a Firefighter, Engineer, EMT-P and Acting Captain in his career at the Chesterfield / Monarch District and a career member of the IAFF. He was a great engineer, avid outdoorsman, camping and motorcycle enthusiast, who enjoyed traveling, kayaking, biking, hiking and just being outdoors as often as possible. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, James F. Dixon Jr., Gladys A. Dixon, sister Janet Stedman, and brother James D. Dixon. Joe is survived by his wife of 11 years, Lisa Dixon, of Yulee, FL. Children; Jill (Chad) Hartman of Wentzville, MO, Michael (Alicia) Dixon of Lake St. Louis, MO, and Jenny Dixon of Maryland Heights, MO. Grandchildren: Aislinn, Kyra, Danielle, Baylie, Colton, Grant, Dalton, and one great granddaughter, Layne. Bonus Children; Joseph and Joshua Johnson, Justin (Jessica) Sterne, and Hillari Sterne. Bonus Grandchildren, Ahlana, Brylie, Lola, and Ashley. Joe was a loving Husband, Dad, Brother, Grandpa, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend to many. A funeral service will not be held, but a memorial gathering will be announced at a later date.
