He was born on August 22, 1960, in Whittier, California.
David lived a life defined by curiosity, service, and unwavering love for his family. He was the son of Raymond Lamb and the late Janet Harris.
After graduating high school in 1980, David enlisted in the United States Navy, where he trained as an aircraft sheet metal mechanic. He served his country with distinction and was honorably discharged in 1984. His dedication continued as he went on to work for the Department of the Navy as a civilian employee for over two decades, retiring in 2018.
Driven by a lifelong passion for learning, David returned to college and earned his master’s degree in physics and materials science in 2009—an accomplishment that reflected his intellect, perseverance, and deep curiosity about the world.
David was known for his quick wit and unique sense of humor, bringing laughter and light to those around him.
He is survived by his father, Raymond Lamb; his son, Michael Lamb; and his daughters, Kalila Bayer (grandchildren: Aiden, Dominic and Aydreanna) and Rachael Ragsdale (grandson: Adam) and granddaughter MaKayla. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebekah Lamb, and his mother, Janet Harris.
Funeral Services
A Vigil with Rosary will be held at 9:30 AM on Monday, April 20, 2026, at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 N Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
Burial will take place at 1:30 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024, with honors provided by the United States Navy and the Patriot Guard at the gravesite.
