Delores "Dee" Larkins

On July 2, 2023, Delores “Dee” Larkins passed away in her sleep with her son Ron and daughter-in-law Susy by her side. She was born Delores Lucille Frisch in Bloomington, Illinois, and baptized there in St Patrick’s Church. The only child of Ambrose Joseph Frisch and Mabel Alice Bertrand, she lived close to them all her life. She married the “love of her life,” Ronald James Larkins, in high school. They were married in 1950 and together they raised three children. When her children were older, Dee went to work at a savings and loan in Kankakee, Illinois, near their home in Bradley. She and her family moved to Arizona in 1968, where she continued her financial work. Dee and her husband moved to Sun City, where they had always wanted to move as soon as they met age requirements. There she turned to real estate and she continued in real estate until her retirement. She was elected President of Greenway Merchants Association in 1980. Dee is predeceased by her husband of nearly 62 years, her son Terry and grandsons Anthony and Jason. She is survived by her son Ronald (Susy) and daughter Deborah (Alissa); grandchildren Cara, Kimberly, Kaylin, Ashley and Nicole; and fifteen great grandchildren. A private ceremony and interment will be held at Sunland Memorial Park.
