Doris Andrea Friedrich

Doris Andrea Friedrich (nee Tapassi), 85, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, at Paradise West Assisted Living in Peoria. Dori was born on September 27, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio and lived in Sun City for 26 years after moving from Amherst, Ohio.

Dori worked as a Registered Nurse at the VA Hospital in Sandusky, Ohio and volunteered at the Lorain County Humane Society, the Amherst Little Theater and the Amherst Bingo Club. She enjoyed painting and photography and spending time with her grandchildren, son and daughter-in-law.

She is now "together again" with her late husband of 64 years, James M. Friedrich. Dori was preceded in death by her son, Mark D. Friedrich, brother Andrew Tapassi; and her parents Andrew and Sally Tapassi.

She is survived by her son, Craig (Mary) Friedrich and grandchildren, Megan and Nicholas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 7th at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, Sun City, with internment immediately following at the National Memorial Cemetary, Cave Creek. Memorial donations may be made to Paradise West Assisted Living, 7482 W Port Au Prince Lane, Peoria, Hospice of the Valley or the American Cancer Society.
