Elizabeth "Dolly" Mahoney

Elizabeth "Dolly" Mahoney born in 1942 passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024 at Banner Boswell hospital surrounded by her family.  She was the daughter of Charles and Ada Lawrence of Kenosha, WI. 

She was survived by her husband James (Jim) and their children Kathleen, James Jr, (Jimmy) and Charles (Chip)  along with her sister Charlene. Dolly and Jim had a long happy marriage and just celebrated their 58th anniversary.  Dolly and Jim raised their family in Denver CO before retiring to Sun City nearly 30 years ago.  Dolly was a grade school teacher and then later found she had an aptitude for business. She retired as the Vice President of a trust company after starting her career in the mail room.  She loved going to the pool and golf.  Dolly and Jim loved entertaining friends at their house and she was the most gracious host. Dolly graduated from St Joseph high school High School and then attended Loretta Heights College in Denver before transferring to Dominican College in Racine, WI where she graduated with a teaching degree. Her funeral was a private service handled by Menke Funeral Home.  Dolly was a member of St. Joachim and St. Anne church of Sun CIty, AZ.  A very special thanks to the staff at Banner Boswell Hospital.
