Ellen Elizabeth Scanlan, 89, of Peoria, AZ passed away August 14, 2007. Born in Peoria, Illinois, she was a seamstress and moved to Arizona 32 years ago. A member of St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, she is survived by her sons Jim Scanlan and wife Diana and Thomas F. Scanlan III and wife Margaret; brother Bill Robinson and wife Lorraine; sister Nancy Nieman; grandchildren Susan, James, Cynthia, Ellen, Brian, and Jennifer and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Thomas Scanlan Jr. in 1999. Visitation 9-10 AM with wake at 9:30 AM Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave. Funeral mass will follow at 10:30 AM at St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, AZ.
