Ernestine Alvarado Garcia, 88, of Glendale, AZ passed away March 26, 2011. An Arizona native, Ernestine was born in Glendale, Arizona. She was preceded in death by son Benny. Survivors include her husband Jesus Chavez; children, Johnny Martinez, Gloria Martinez, Raymond Martinez, Melvin Martinez, Charlie Chavez and Hector Martinez. 36 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. with Rosary 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2011 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Funeral mass is 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Virgen De Guadalupe, 6733 N. 55th Ave., Glendale, AZ. Burial to follow at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
