Grigore “Greg” Lenghel, 60, died due to Pancreatic Cancer 28 July 2023 at home. He was born 28 July 1963, in Tarna Mare, Romania, the son of Grigore Lenghel and Ileana (Molnar) Lenghel.
Greg graduated from Industrial High School 6, class of 1984 in Tarna Mare, Romania. Following his graduation, he served within the Romanian Land Forces stationed at Craiova, Romania from 1984 to 1986. After his service, he married his wife Olga (Veres) Lenghel and had a daughter Livia Lenghel. Later he and family immigrated to the United States of America. Olga and Greg celebrated 38 years of marriage on 28 March 2023. Greg worked hard and started a successful trucking business “Greg Lenghel Trucking.”
Greg is survived by his brothers Iona and Vasile Lenghel, his sisters Anura, Irina and Lenuta Lenghel, his wife Olga Lenghel, daughter Livia (Lenghel) Brown, son-in-law Scott E. Brown II, and grandson Charles Greg-Scott Brown. Additionally, he is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance will be held 3 August 2023 at 5:00 p.m. with visitation 4-7 p.m. at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ 85351. Funeral services will be on 4 August 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church, 3749 W. Behrend Dr., Glendale, AZ 85308.
