IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Happy
Bandy
December 7, 1943 – January 31, 2026
It is with a heavy heart that we share the life and legacy of Happy Bandy, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and friend to many. Born on December 7, 1943, Happy's journey came to a peaceful close on January 31, 2026. She leaves behind a profound impact on those who were fortunate enough to know her, particularly her beloved husband of over 35 years, David Bandy.
Happy's career as a retired administrative assistant for the Arizona Department of Public Safety was marked by her unwavering dedication and a spirit of service that she carried into every aspect of her life. Her compassionate nature shone brightly not only in her professional life but also within her church community, where she actively participated and nurtured the faith of others. She had a unique ability to reflect love through her actions, always striving to serve others, just as she loved them.
Family will cherish memories of special moments shared with her, particularly the exhilarating travels taken together in their R.V. Happy held a special place in her heart for Glacier National Park, a stunning testament to her love of nature and adventure, followed closely by cherished memories from their journey to the Black Hills of South Dakota. These adventures were not merely trips; they were pathways to lifelong memories filled with laughter and joy.
Beyond her travels, Happy will be remembered for her honesty and compassion, qualities that endeared her to everyone she met. Her love extended warmly not only to her family but also to animals, showcasing her kind heart and gentle spirit. She was deeply devoted to her home, where love flourished, and where she remained a pillar of strength for her family.
In her final words to David, she expressed her unwavering faith and comfort, saying, “I’m going to Jesus and will be waiting for you there.” This simple yet profound statement reflects her deep love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which guided her through life and continues to inspire those she left behind.
Happy took great pride in celebrating her family, always making an effort to acknowledge milestones with love and thoughtfulness. Whether it was birthdays or Christmas, her remembrance of these occasions highlighted her generous spirit and deep care for others.
Happy’s legacy will live on through her loving family, including her brothers, Eugene and Joseph Head; her sons, Jacob and Matthew Swartz; her adored grandsons, Matthew Michael, Benjamin, and Michael Swartz; her granddaughter, Stefanie Swartz Lugo; her beloved daughter and son-in-law by marriage, Cheryl and Brent Barlow and many great-grandchildren. Each of them holds cherished memories that will remind them of her nurturing warmth and the countless ways she enriched their lives.
