Ila Ernestene Coffey, born on February 12, 1939, in Russell Springs, Kentucky, passed peacefully on December 23, 2025, in Surprise, Arizona. With a heart full of love and a nurturing spirit, Ila was a cherished figure in the lives of her family and friends.

Known for her green thumb, Ila found joy in gardening and growing beautiful flowers, bringing color and life to those around her. Her passion for sewing showcased her creativity and attention to detail, allowing her to create cherished keepsakes for her loved ones. Ila's warmth and kindness were evident in all that she did, and her legacy will forever bloom in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Ila is survived by her loving brother, Kermit Gossage, and her devoted sisters, Betty Holt and Jenny Popplewell. She shared a special bond with her sister-friend, Elaine Roberts, who was a constant source of support and companionship throughout her life. Ila leaves behind five children: Jeffery Coffey, Vickie Coffey, Rick Coffey, Jay Coffey, and a proud lineage that includes her grandchildren Jeremy Coffey, Cristy McAuley, Carey Northrop, Sasha Trump, Joshua Johnson, Michael Coffey, Andrew Coffey, Kyle Coffey, and Tyler Coffey, as well as Nicole Warren. Her family tree continues to grow, with 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren who will carry forward her loving spirit.

Ila was predeceased by her beloved husband, Onis Coffey, and her son, Anthony Coffey. Their memories will always be honored and cherished by her family. Ila Ernestien Coffey will be remembered not only for her talents and passions but also for the love she so generously planted in the lives of those she touched. Her spirit will continue to bloom in our hearts, reminding us of the beauty of life and love she exemplified.
