Irene Guzik Nee Simek passed away peacefully in her home in Sun City on September 22, 2008. She was born on June 21, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by her daughter, Doreen Ainslie, son-in-law, David L. Ainslie, her grandchildren, Walter David Ruhnke and Angela Marie Ruhnke, and her great-grandson, Wesley James Zilverberg. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter F. Guzik. Irene was a very gentle, loyal, and giving person. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her. A graveside funeral ceremony will be held on Monday at 11:00a.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix.
