Lover of the Lord and retired elementary school teacher, Ms. Jacqueline Alese Carroll’s love of life began with her birth on July 21, 1937. However, it did not end with her death on February 22, 2024. Her legacy will live through those of you who continue to pray and lead the type of God filled life she led. Jacqueline loved her Savior, the lord Jesus Christ, with all her heart, and she loved God’s word. Her biblical studies were even more fervent than her other extensive educational pursuits. Jacqueline completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She pledged a sorority while in college and became a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Inc.
After finishing college, she began a distinguished career in education. She taught every grade in elementary school accept kindergarten and she taught for over 40 years. Not long ago some of her former students found her and shared how they felt about her. These are a few of their sentiments.
“I love Ms. Carroll. She was my favorite teach.”
“She was a tough cookie. But in a good way.”
‘I pray for more teachers like Ms. Carroll.”
Jacqueline’s efforts resulted in positive outcomes for thousands of children over the years. Her students loved her and she loved them. Her family loves her and she loves them with a love that is eternal and will never end.
