Jessica Vela

Jessica M Vela January 25, 1984 - February 16, 2022 Jessica was born in Houston, Texas on January 25th, 1984, to Dora Vela. She accepted Christ the same year. Jessica and her family later moved to Illinois where she attended grade school and eventually graduated from Warren Township High School. In 1999 she met Demetrius Pruett, and to that union were born her first three babies, Dyshana, Demetrius Jr. and Dezeray. In 2004 she moved to Arizona with her three babies. That's where she later met Lamar; to this union they had two girls, Oryana and Alyssa. Jessica loved to listen to music, dance, crochet, read, write and to especially rewatch the Selena movie over and over again. But more than anything, what she loved the most, was spending time with her family. She was the happiest when she was around her favorite people laughing until her stomach hurt. In Jessica's final days, she wanted to live life to the fullest and most of all she wanted all five of her beautiful kids to know how much she loved them. Jessica wanted us to remember her as the goofy, semi-socially awkward yet fun-loving person that loved her kids more than life itself. She always knew that family was the most important thing in this world. She did not want us to be sad. She wanted us to know that she is truly at peace. She will forever be loved, and forever be missed. Jessica is survived by her five children: Dyshana, Demetrius, Dezeray, Oryana and Alyssa; her Father Francisco, Mother Dora, and Brother Franky; her Partner Demetrius Sr., Mother-in-law Yolanda, Sister Demetria, Niece Daja and Nephews Jayden and Jordan.
