John E. Olson 77, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away April, 17, 2009, at 1:38 a.m. after a long battle with many illnesses; his loving wife Marjorie of 57 years and family were at his side. Graveside services will be held on April 23, 2009 at 11:00 am at National Memorial Cemetery. John was born April 3, 1932, and was a very patriotic and proud man who served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Moose Lodge for many decades just as his father had. John loved the outdoors; working in the yard and camping with his family and friends. The ocean and beaches were a special place for him to visit. Survivors include his wife Marjorie; two sisters Janis Nagel of Iowa and Joyce Pottorff of North Carolina; daughter Gail Cahn of Wickenburg, Arizona; sons Tim Olson of Surprise, Arizona and Mark Olson wife Penny of Middleton, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. John enjoyed life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by everyone. Menke Funeral & Cremation Center handled Arrangements.
