John Robert Hall, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on July 17, 2025, at the age of 68, surrounded by the love of his wife and daughter. In his final moments, he flew home with the angels, surrounded by those he loved most, tired and ready to be at peace. John lived his life with unwavering faith and a tenacity that inspired everyone around him.
Born on October 9, 1956, John was a proud second-generation Arizonian. He graduated from Camelback High School in 1974 and later pursued further education, completing four years online with the University of Phoenix. His career began with Bowman/Barnes Group in 1975, where he started in sales and ascended to teach others, eventually becoming a Sales Manager. After 24 years of traveling for work, John sought a new path closer to home, which a dear friend led him to the world of concrete pumping as a sales manager for HCPI, later acquired by Brundage Bone. John retired from his career with Western in 2015, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and determination.
John had a zest for life that extended beyond his professional achievements. He was deeply passionate about motorcycle flat track racing from 1971 to 1974, holding titles as a T.T. Champion in 1972 and the Manzanita Champion in 1973. His love for adventure continued as he became an ardent Nascar fan. Despite the thrills of racing and the demands of his career, what truly mattered to John was the love and support of his family.
In his personal life, John crafted cherished memories with his wife, Theresa, whom he lovingly celebrated for 18 years. Together, they symbolically linked their lives with a wedding date John chose—07-07-07. His pride in his family was immeasurable, as he embraced his roles as a father and grandfather with warmth and dedication. He is survived by his son Timothy Hall and his beloved daughter, Krystal Crossley, and her husband Brandon, who brought him joy through their shared moments. His family grew with the love of his step-son Taylor Banks and his wife Amber, as well as grandchildren Kamdyn “Kamy”, Avery “Avery J”, Fiona “FiFi”, and Blake “Bubba” who filled his heart with pride and laughter. He is also survived by his parents, Doug and Ruth Hall, along with his sister Libby Ekre and her husband Brent, and his niece Madison Ekre and nephew Jacob Ekre.
He is preceded in death by his big brother Chester Douglas “Chet” Hall who departed this world too early in 1962, and his beloved daughter Justine Verity Hall, who left this world in 2021.
Though John's battle with cancer was long and arduous, he faced it with courage and grace. His family will honor his life at a later date, as was his wish, reflecting the love and respect he commanded throughout his extraordinary life.
John Robert Hall is remembered not just for his professional accomplishments but for living life on his own terms. He was deeply loved by many and will be missed beyond measure. May his spirit continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his journey.
