80, of Sun City, Arizona; husband, father, grandparent and friend; died peacefully in his sleep on May 18, 2015. He was born on July 20, 1934 in Forman, ND. Jon married his best friend and soul-mate Geraldine (Jerry) Betting, also of Forman, ND and were to have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 23, 2015. Jon Jerry are grateful to the many good neighbors, colleagues and friends from Marshall, MN, who made their child-rearing years so enjoyable. He was a friend and confidant to each of his six adult children; Greg, Patty, Sue, Doug, Jon Phil. Jon was an honest, kind, loving man, the gentle giant.  The past 20 plus years, Jon lived in Sun City where he had many friends, enjoyed golf, sunshine and doting on his lovely wife. Jon loved spending time with his 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren who lovingly call him Pooh Bear, PeePaw, and Big T (Big Trouble). They all adore their Grandpa, who lovingly referred to them as “little brats”. He will be missed.
